At the ADA FDI 2019 World Dental Congress, held in San Francisco on 4–8 September 2019, Dr. Türker Yücesoy of the Bezmialem Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, won first prize in the Oral Surgery and Pathology category — among the scientific presentations evaluated by the scientific committee across four categories — with his study “The Efficiency of Ozone-Therapy & Low-Level-Laser-Therapy in Rat Facial Nerve Injury”.

Spanish actor Pedro Alonso O'choro, world-famous for the role of “Berlin” in the series “La Casa de Papel”, chose a Turkish doctor in Istanbul for his dental health. The 53-year-old actor visited oral and maxillofacial surgeon Assoc. Prof. Dr. Türker Yücesoy for a check-up and his dental treatments.
