An Associate Professor with a PhD in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Türker is a clinician-scientist — on the faculty of Istanbul Galata University since January 2026, after teaching at Bezmialem Vakıf University from 2017 to 2021, and leading his own Istanbul clinic since 2021. His research spans implantology, the biocompatibility of dental materials and the psychology of patients seeking facial treatment. He pairs that academic rigour with high-complexity private practice — and is known for putting anxious patients fully at ease, explaining every step before it happens. My dental problems started at a very young age, and doctors told me I had advanced bone loss and that implants were impossible. After years of research, I came across a social-media video about subperiosteal implant treatment by Dr. Türker, whom I learned had taught at Bezmialem Vakıf University. Though I had little hope, I easily booked an appointment. He examined me and explained the subperiosteal technique — implants without harvesting bone from the hip. My surgery followed, and he placed the subperiosteal implant everyone had called impossible in a single jaw. Once the short-lived swelling passed, temporary teeth were fitted so I wouldn’t be left without teeth and could carry on with daily life.
